Playfit Ground wins the 2024 Commissioner of Patents GOOD DESIGN Award

Cheongwoo Funstation's Playfit Ground combination playground has been awarded the 2024 GOOD DESIGN Commissioner of Patents Award.

What is Playfit Ground?

Playfit Ground is an all-age complex space concept that breaks down the boundaries between play, rest, and sports facilities and organizes them into one integrated space. Applied to the first phase of Gaffo D.H. Premier iPark, the space is designed to connect the large site with a single design language, allowing children and adults to use it together in a natural way.

A structural composition of intersecting curves and straight lines and a cheerful color scheme were applied consistently throughout the space, allowing each facility to be perceived as one themed space rather than as individual installations.

How we won the award

The award was based on a comprehensive evaluation of the following design criteria

• Mixed-use design that integrates play, recreation, and exercise into a single space
• Flexible circulation and spatial organization to accommodate all-ages use
• Material selection that meets safety and durability
• Visual design scheme that creates consistency throughout the space

The Playfit Ground is a reflection of Cheongwoo Funstation's direction to design the entire space as an experience, rather than just installing playground equipment. We will continue to research user-centered complex play environments.
